Ben Onwubalili is a finance and operations executive with over 16 years of leadership experience across private equity, asset management, and construction management sectors. He currently serves as the Chief Financial Officer at GEF Capital Partners, where he leads fund accounting, financial reporting, valuation oversight, and cross-border operational controls for a global climate solutions investment platform.
Ben previously held senior finance roles at Durable Capital Partners, Brevet Capital, Avista Capital, and Fortress Investment Group, where he was responsible for managing multi-billion-dollar fund operations, implementing internal controls, leading audits, optimizing investor reporting, and executing capital activity. He began his career at Deloitte in the hedge fund audit practice, working with complex investment structures and valuations.
Ben holds a Master of Science in Accounting and Management Information Systems from The Ohio State University and a BA in Accounting from Ohio Wesleyan University.
