Jyothsna Rau is a Senior Associate at South Asia Advisors, a sub-advisor to GEF Capital Partners. She is based in Mumbai, India and joined the firm in 2023. She focuses on mid-market growth opportunities in South Asia and is responsible for sourcing, evaluating, and managing investments at the firm.
Prior to joining South Asia Advisors, Ms. Rau was a member of the investment team at Neev Fund, a climate focused early-growth stage fund. Prior to Neev Fund, Ms. Rau worked at Strategy& in the Deals Strategy practice (Chicago) and spent 5 years at New Silk Route on the investment team in New York and Mumbai, a sector agnostic growth equity fund.
Ms. Rau received a Bachelor of Technology in Chemical Engineering from National Institute of Technology, Warangal (NITW), a Master’s in Quantitative and Computational Finance from Georgia Institute of Technology, and an MBA from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
